If something feels wrong, hold SOS.
Your crew gets your location right away, and it keeps sending until they've seen it.
SOS reaches your crew only. It does not contact emergency services, so in an emergency, find event staff or call for help.

Wait, how does it work with no signal?
Your phone connects straight to other phones nearby using Bluetooth. Each one passes your message to the next, like passing a note through the crowd, until it reaches your friend.
The more people around, the farther it goes. A packed field is the best network you'll ever stand in.
Nobody in between can read it. Messages are end-to-end encrypted, so only the people they're meant for can open them.

Do my friends need CrowdWire too?
Yes. Everyone you want to reach needs the app on their phone. Make your crew before you head out and you're set.
Does it really work with no signal?
Yes. CrowdWire connects phones directly over Bluetooth, so it works with no cell service and no wifi.
How far does it reach?
On its own, about as far as Bluetooth goes. In a crowd, messages hop from phone to phone, so the more people around you using CrowdWire, the farther they travel.
How many people can be in a crew?
Up to 16. Anyone in the crew can see the chat and the rally points you drop.
Can strangers read my messages?
No. Messages are encrypted before they leave your phone. The phones that pass them along can't open them.
Does SOS call emergency services?
No. SOS sends your location to your crew and keeps sending until they've seen it. In an emergency, find event staff or call for help.

Right now CrowdWire is built for iPhone.
